GLASS:  SUPER K PLUS

Super K Plus, our premium quality glass, is a clear choice for Grand Horizons PREFERRED windows. This high-performance glass is ideal for climates where heating and cooling costs are of the highest concern. The thermally broken aluminum spacer bar system also reduces the conductive heat and cooling loss that occurs through your window.


Features

Two Panes of Glass:
One clear, and one specifically oriented pane of Solarban® 60 solar control Low-E glass. Solarban® 60’s winter nighttime insulating value is 50% better than standard clear insulated glass, reducing furnace heat loss and energy costs. It also reduces fabric-fading UV energy 72% more effectively than standard clear glass.*

Argon:
The argon-filled space provides superior insulation against heat transfer to, or from, the outside. Argon is a natural, odorless, and harmless element that provides better insulation than air when used in high concentration.

Intercept® Warm Edge Spacer System:
This energy-efficient system provides a thermal barrier between the glass panes and a superior seal against gas leakage. During seasonal temperature fluctuations, the Intercept I.G. spacer flexes to absorb thermal stress instead of the sealants.

Two Panes of Double-Strength Glass:
One clear and one specifically oriented pane of Solarban® 60 Low-E glass, one of the best performing Low-E glazing products on the market today. A single sheet of Solarban® 60 doubles the nighttime insulating value of standard insulating glass, reducing heat loss, energy consumption and the harmful effects of UV radiation.

Twin Air Spaces Filled With Krypton And Argon Mix:
Heat MirrorTM 88 Film separates the internal air space into two distinctive chambers, each one sealed tight to provide two layers of insulating power. Each of these chambers is filled with a proprietary blend of Krypton and Argon to provide superior insulation against heat transfer to or from the outside.

Intercept® Warm Edge Spacer System:

Dual Sealant System:
Polyisobutylene (PIB) and polyurethane provide a superior preventative barrier around the glazing to drastically reduce the risk of seal failure over time.
